About GermanyBound
GermanyBound brings everything a non-EU newcomer needs to start a life in Germany — visas, bureaucracy, cost of living, cities, and the tools to plan it all — into one clear, sourced place. So no one has to piece the answers together from a dozen out-of-date pages.
Why GermanyBound exists
Germany’s immigration rules are scattered, often explained out of date, and rarely sourced. GermanyBound brings them together in one place, in plain language, in the voice of someone who actually went through it.
Editorial & verification policy
- Every legal, tax and benefit figure is stored with its official source and the date it was checked.
- Primary sources first: statutes (gesetze-im-internet.de), BAMF, the Federal Foreign Office, Make-it-in-Germany, and the relevant Bundesland.
- Values we could not verify online at build time are visibly flagged “verify” and listed in our verification queue.
- Facts older than 180 days are flagged for re-verification.
- This is general information, not legal or tax advice.
Update cadence promise
We scan the official news pages weekly and publish relevant changes in the updates section. The most volatile figures (tax rates, salary thresholds, WBS limits) are re-checked at least at each turn of the year.
How we make money
GermanyBound launches as an independent, free information platform and does not currently use any active affiliate partnerships. If we add labelled partner links in future, they will be clearly disclosed and will not change our recommendations.
